Sylables ordering
Experience shows that children cope more easily with the syllables than with isolated sounds. This is related to the ability to rhyme. Therefore, we recommend beginning with the composition of syllables. However, it is always necessary to pay attention to the child's individual abilities, ie to start where the child appears to be more successful. Be sure to use the program settings.
The program is designed for children from ages 1 to 3 years, as well as for children with certain handicaps, whose reading skills are progressing at a slower pace.
Here is how the program works:
- In the settings, you choose the difficulty of words (one to three syllables) and the whether they are printed or handwritten in format. You can also exclude letters sounds that the child does not yet know.
- A picture with voice guidance (or without voice guidance, depending on the settings) is displayed on the monitor, and the child selects sounds letters or syllables from the options offered in the correct order.
- Children store the letters in a row to form words. This helps them to improve the auditory perception. (The deaf recall the visual of the written word or the word visual image of the word.)
