Phonemic awareness - Point at the letter

Objective

Program is meant for recognition of sounds through hearing.

Children, clients recognise sounds using their hearing, they try to repeat the sound and identify it from the group of 2 or more sounds.

Program helps with recogntion of sounds through hearing and at the same time to identify the sound in graphic (written) form. Child uses several brain centres when working with this program and that helps with better retention of given sound. Ideally, the child identifies the sound using the mouse or on the thatch screen as that uses hearing, seeing and movement.

How to work with the program

Sounds are displayed on the screen. Computer says „point at the letter A“, the client points to A.

Spoken text may be displayed in the "callout" on the working area.
